School board member fined

The Public Disclosure Commission denied requests to review violations and civil penalties previously issued at a Brief Enforcement Hearing held in Olympia June 21 against Daniel Mann, school board member for the Shoreline School District.

Mann was originally found to have failed to timely file the Personal Financial Affairs statement reporting financial activity for the preceding year due on April 15. The Public Disclosure Commission sent Mann a warning prior to the deadline and was not returned a response.

Mann, who has one prior violation with the Public Disclosure Commission, was assessed a civil penalty of $300.00. He is one of 55 elected officials found in violation this year.
