Calendar provides parents with tips

A group of local businesses have partnered up to provide parents who are preparing their children for kindergarten with the “Off We Go” calendar, which offers suggestions on how parents can prepare their child to start school through fun and stimulating activities. Answers to frequently asked questions are also included and well as listings of community resources for parents.

The calendars were developed through the Edmonds School District, Snohomish County Head Start, Snohomish County Health, Volunteers of America, Edmonds Community College and the Early Childhood Educational Assistance Program. Printing Services for the 3,000 calendars were provided by and paid for by the Boeing Company.

Copies of the calendar are available at elementary schools within the district, or you can contact Eileen Mitchell at the Educational Service Center at 425-670-7002.
