Clothes for Kids

is now opens

Clothes for Kids opens to Edmonds School District K-12 students for back-to-school wardrobes. During August, the program will be open 9-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 16725 52nd Ave. W. in Lynnwood. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. each open day. The program will be open to Head Start Sept. 9 and to preschool siblings in early October

Clothes for Kids is a non-profit program that assists students who qualify for free and reduced lunch meals. Clothing acquisitions are obtained from designated individuals in the schools or program. For more information contact Clothes for Kids at 425-670-7285.

Immunizations

now available

Snohomish Health District will offer back-to-school immunizations at its clinic in Lynnwood on a walk-in basis.

The Lynnwood SHD South County Clinic is located at 6101 200th Ave SW, and Walk-in hours run for Sept. 4-6 are available on Wednesday and Friday, 1-4:30 p.m.; Thursday, 1-5:30 p.m. Please call for more information: 425-775-3522 or 425-778-5417 (TTY).

Parent-child groups forming

Looking for a fun way to spend time with your child and other parents? Groups of dads/daughters and dads/sons that will meet regularly for fun and fullfilling monthly activities during the school year are now forming at the Shoreline/South County YMCA.

Known as Y-Guides and Y-Princesses, these parent-child programs incorporate Native American cultrual empahsis on family and community into contemporary activities for busy families.

Financial assistance for YMCA programs is offered by confidential application to families in need.
