Is Detroit poised to recapture the driving public with a new-for-you approach to the four-door sedan? The answer could be waiting behind the wheel of four all-new models on display at this years Auto Show:
Ford calls its new Five Hundred the most significant, all-new sedan the industry has seen since the 1980s.
This four-door sedan boasts many of the advantages associated with sport utility vehicles and crossovers, including cargo capability, versatility, command-of-road seating and all-weather confidence.
Five Hundred accomplishes this by marrying the body of an upscale, contemporary sedan to an all-new, purpose-built crossover vehicle platform. The result is much more than a typical passenger car. It exudes comfort with highly flexible, upright command-of-road seating that positions drivers as much as four inches higher than traditional mid-size cars.
The all-new Pontiac G6 sports sedan reinvigorates the midsize segment with contemporary design, total performance and exceptional attention to detail.
The G6 is going to shake up the midsize segment, said Jim Bunnell, Pontiac-GMC general manager. It represents Pontiacs performance renaissance through fresh design and dynamic driving experience, and it demonstrates GMs commitment to leadership in the passenger car market.
With contemporary, sensuous styling and athletic proportions, the G6 is a tightly wrapped package of total performance, engaging drivers environment and outstanding quality and safety.
The innovative 2005 Mercury Montego midsize sedan offers Fords industry-leading safety technology, along with modern new powertrains that combine performance with fuel economy.
Montegos premium interior is roomy and sophisticated with flexible seating and cargo storage capability that set new standards for midsize sedans. A spacious, second row and new-to-the-class high-package seating position provide unprecedented passenger comfort and reinforce the drivers commanding view of the road.
Offered in Premier and Luxury trim levels, Montegos distinctive exterior design, contemporary, roomy interior and available features like all-wheel drive are expected to attract new customers to Mercury showrooms.

LaCrosse debuts in three versions: the well-equipped CX, elegantly appointed CXL, and performance-oriented CXS. There are two engine choices. Standard in the CXS is a new aluminum engine, the 3.6-liter V6 that delivers an estimated 240 horsepower and estimated 19 mpg city and 28 mpg highway.
Six-passenger models feature a flip-and-fold seatback cushion that can be converted into a spacious center console/armrest with large storage bin.
