The 2009 Edmonds in Bloom Garden Tour may be over, but Gallery North opens the gate one more time this month into the city’s most distinctive garden views for their August exhibit.
The original tour was held in July and featured some of the most beautiful gardens in Edmonds. During the tour, artists worked on site to capture the special treasures of each garden.
Participating artists in this exhibit include Gallery North artist members Melanie Jorissen with her daughter, Kuria, Judy Perry, Cecile Disenhouse and Christine Meshew, along with local artists Clifford Burkey, Autumn Kegley and Michelle Abbott.
The plein air paintings created by these artists will be the center of a show that also incorporates other garden themed paintings and photographs presented by Gallery North artists.
Visitors are welcome at the artists’ reception from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9. The artists will discuss their paintings and light refreshments will be served. See the artists again during the Edmonds Art Walk, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20.
The show continues through the end of August.
