Four local firefighters were selected at the annual judging event May 27 to have their photos on the pages of the Washington State Council of Firefighters Burn Foundation 2005 10th Anniversary All Star Calendar.

The local winners are: Craig Overfield of Shoreline Fire Department, Rich “Hawkeye” Couden of Bothell Fire Department, Kevin Miller and Bryan Youngman of Lynnwood Fire Department. Others selected for the calendar come from other departments in the Puget Sound area.

The 2005 calendar unveiling will be Aug. 6 at the Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue.

All those selected for the anniversary calendar had been in previous calendars but the photos will be new, said WSCFBF executive director Rod Heivilin of Shoreline.

He said the 2005 calendar work is being done by Tip Top Creative and the photos will be taken by Team Photogenic.

“And this year, we’re also shooting a ‘making of the calendar’ video that will be available for sale,” Heivilin said.

The WSCFBF was founded in 1987 and is a 501(c)(3) charity. The foundation raises money to fund burn research and educate about burn safety, with the hope of preventing those in the community from suffering debilitating pain and losses due to burns.
