Army Pvt. David K. Lee has graduated from the radio and communications security repairer advanced individual training course at Fort Gordon, Augusta, Ga. Lee, son of Donald and Susan Lee of Shoreline, is a 2002 graduate of Shorecrest High School.

Army Pvt. Richard N. McGowen has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. McGowen, son of Patrick McGowen of Seattle and Joan McGowen of Shoreline, is a graduate of Shorecrest High School.

Army 2nd Lt. Tim V. Hewett has graduated from the U.S. Army Ranger School at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga., with authorization to wear the distinctive Ranger Tab. Hewett is a field artillery officer assigned to the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division at Fort Lewis, Tacoma. He is the son of Charles Hewett of Shoreline.

Keely M. Flatow has graduated from the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) Academy at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. OSI involves criminal investigative and counterintelligence services. Flatow is assigned to Detachment 105, Office of Special Investigations at Robins Air Force Base, Warner Robins, Ga. The special agent is the daughter of Gigi Flatow of Shoreline and Gary Flatow of Missoula, Mont.
