Crudo signs with St. Martin’s
Shorecrest senior Mickey Crudo signed a national letter of intent March 3 to play soccer at NCAA Division II St. Martin’s University in Lacey next school year.
The men’s soccer program coached by Rob Walker will be in its second year of existence next season.
Crudo, a midfielder on Shorecrest’s team, hopes to play midfield for St. Martin’s.
“I’m excited about it,” he said. “It’s a young program.”
Two of Crudo’s club teammates from Emerald City FC, Cody Clark, who attends Olympia in Bremerton, and Xan Nixon, who goes to Roosevelt, have also signed with St. Martin’s.
Crudo also considered schools in Florida and Texas but decided to stay in-state.
