BASEBALL/SOFTBALL SIGNUPS: Alderwood Little League is having signups for baseball and softball for ages 5-18. Players may sign up from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following dates: Jan. 24-25, Jan. 31, Feb. 7-8, Feb. 14-15. The location is at the Alderwood Manor Youth Club, 19711 24th Ave. W., which is located next to the Alderwood Boys and Girls Club.

SALMON FISHING CLASS: The Seattle Poggie Club is offering a salmon fishing class on Thursday evenings March 11-April 8 at the Northwest Senior Center in Ballard.
The course, which will be held from 7-9:30 p.m., features lectures and detailed instruction on mooching, jigging, downriggers, gear, knots, tides and currents, bait cutting, lures, best fishing locations and other topics.
The fee for the five-class seminar is $60 per person and $30 for each additional family member. The Northwest Senior Center is located at 5429 32nd Ave. NW.
