MUKILTEO — With a lamppost lined boulevard, old-fashioned clock tower and boutique shops and cafes, driving up to The Camden in Mukilteo is like driving into a quaint village square filled with old-world charm. A place where people still stop and say hello. But step inside the two bedroom, newly constructed townhomes and you’ll discover a style that is decidedly contemporary and undeniably fresh.
The brownstone-style townhomes have remarkable street appeal mixing traditional design with modern elements, including rich Americana colors, professional landscaping and wide front porches with mesh metal railings. On many of the front porches, additional privacy is provided between homes by a screen woven from slats of wood – adding a chic accent to an already smart design.
The homes range in size from 1,207 to 1,336 square feet and homeowners have two open and flexible designs to choose from: the Amherst and the Belmont.
Both the Amherst and Belmont designs are two bedroom, two and a half bath homes with attached one car garages. Front doors open up to living rooms with one and a half stories of windows amplifying natural light. Up the staircase and overlooking the living area, you’ll find the dining room, kitchen and powder room as well a back balcony accessed off the kitchen. On the third floor, the two bedrooms each have their own private baths.
“The Belmont is slightly larger than the Amherst, so it also includes a kitchen island for added workspace and a laundry room adjacent to the kitchen. The Amherst plan, on the other hand, has a built-in kitchen desk and the washer and dryer hookups are upstairs between the two bedrooms,” notes Danny Kohlenberg, community sales manager for Camden.
“All of the homes were built with entertaining and relaxation in mind. There are indoor and outdoor spaces for gatherings with family and friends or just a quiet moment all your own,” says Kohlenberg.
Interior finishes feature warm, chestnut toned hardwood floors in kitchens and dining rooms, maple kitchen cabinetry, stainless steel kitchen appliances and gas or electric fireplaces framed in natural tile. While some homes enjoy a quiet, native growth backdrop others are connected to the community with a friendly pedestrian streetscape.
Mukilteo has long been a desirable area to reside in, with a well-respected school district and friendly atmosphere. Just a short drive from The Camden you come across Mukilteo City Park and the historical Mukilteo Lighthouse.
“This is such a great neighborhood. Just blocks away, you can grab a bite to eat at Thai Rama or pick up a latte or smoothie at Squeeze and Grind Juice and Java,” says Mike Willson, a homeowner at Camden. “It definitely has a town center feel. And because Highway 99 and I-5 are nearby, your commute north or south is a breeze.”
Despite the small town feel of Mukilteo and the Harbour Pointe neighborhood, homeowners are only 25 minutes from Seattle and 8 minutes from downtown Everett via I-5 or Highway 99, making The Camden a great home for commuters. Crossing the water is a breeze with the ferry dock just minutes away, and I-405 is close by, making the Eastside commute easy.
The Camden is open daily, except Thursdays and Fridays, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Buyers can also visit www.liveatcamden.com for more information.
