It was 1962 when doctors Shaw and Pearson acquired the Lillian Abrahamson Nursing Home. Its new name would be Sunrise View Convalescent Center, after the beautiful Cascade Mountain Valley view it enjoys.

Several renovations later and entering the 1980s, the owners realized that additional living options for seniors (spouses of folks in the Convalescent Center) were needed. In 1986, Sunrise View Retirement Villa was built with a state license enabling assisted living services to be offered. Their goal was to provide a home that offered many services. This commitment extended into the financial aspect where rent and services are comparably affordable and state assistance is available when private funds are depleted.

Sunrise View carries on the vision year after year with quality services and a quality living environment for seniors with varying and ever-changing needs.

No More Worries About Mom! For Sunrise View administrator Diane Lopes (mother and grandmother pictured in ad below), this hits close to home. Heres what she has to say:

Q: How long have you been in the community?

A: We have served generations of Everett families for over 40 years and are owned by a retired physician. Our Skilled Nursing Facility operation has existed since 1962 and our Retirement/Assisted Living opened in 1986.

Q: What sets Sunrise View apart from other retirement homes?

A: My favorite question! I believe its several key things. First, we have staff longevity. I have been here for over 10 years and many of the staff exceeds that. Its about relationships for us and they grow over time. When families inquire how their loved ones are doing, they can be confident the staff knows. Our staff makes it a priority to know the residents and their family members. We have a licensed nurse on duty seven days per week, in addition to 24-hour caregivers. We also have wonderful food! Most everything is made from scratch and we always have choices. We have a Medicaid contract which allows our residents to convert to state assistance if their private funds become depleted. These are examples of our commitment to residents choosing Sunrise View as their home.

Q: What is the best way to see your facility?

A: Come and join us for lunch. Sit in our beautiful mountain-view dining room, taste the food, see the resident/staff interactions and take in the atmosphere of Sunrise View. After lunch, go on a guided tour and see the apartments and facility.
