Three move up ranks at Lynn. PD

LYNNWOOD — Three veteran Lynnwood Police officers were recently promoted.

David Ivers, Steven Rider and Jerry Riener were formally promoted at special ceremony Oct. 15.

Commander Ivers, who was assigned to Community Affairs and Administration, was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief. Ivers, a 27-year veteran, is now assigned to the Bureau of Investigations and Services.

Sgt. Rider, was assigned as supervisor of the Criminal Investigations Division – Crimes Against Persons Unit, he was promoted to the rank of Commander. Rider, a 13-year veteran, is now assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division.

Detective Riener, who was assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Riener, a 7-year veteran, has been assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division – Crimes Against Property Unit.
