Edmonds-Woodway, Meadowdale and Mountlake Terrace will open the season with a tripleheader Sept. 6 at Edmonds Stadium.

Meadowdale faces Newport at 1 p.m. and will be followed by Mountlake Terrace and Oak Harbor at 4 p.m. Edmonds-Woodway and Lake Stevens wrap up the tripleheader at 7 p.m.

The recent decision by the WIAA Executive Board to start football practice on Aug. 20 makes it possible to play a full game on Sept. 5 or 6.

Lynnwood, which hosted a 10th game against Squalicum at the end of last season, will travel to Civic Field for a 5 p.m. rematch on Sept. 6.
