At their Oct. 19 banquet, the Snohomish County Vikings semi-pro football team announced the following awards for the 2002 season:
Rookie of the Year, Steve Casino; special teams MVP, Brian Johnson, offensive MVP, James McCool; defensive co-MVPs, Duane Bowen and John Redmond; team MVP, Davie Beeks.
Vince Barbee was given the Donna Fischer most inspirational award, in honor of Vikings head coach/owner Wes Fischer’s late wife.
