Wesco South, Chinook League announce football honors

Shorewood High School’s Wade Gurnett leads this year’s crop of all-Western Conference 4A South Division football honorees.

The senior wide receiver/cornerback was one of a handful of Wesco South players to earn first-team recognition on both offense and defense.

Joining Gurnett on the first-team offense are Shorewood lineman Andrew Preston and fullback Seth Setterberg and Shorecrest receiver Shane Hoffman.

Shorewood linebackers John Whiley and Joey Steadman and Shorecrest linebacker A.J. Collins were first-team selections on defense.

At the small schools level, King’s senior lineman Evan Gay and senior punter/defensive back Chris Faidley were all-Chinook League first-team picks on offense and defense.

Running back Victor Quan received first-team honors on offense and linebacker Brady Butler and defensive back Robb Waldburger were first-team selections on defense.Wesco 4A South football
