The music and drama students of Shoreline Community College perform the final weekend of “West Side Story,” May 27 and 28,
Leonard Bernstein’s brilliant 1961 musical, West Side Story, breathed new life into the greatest love story ever told, Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. The performance is based on a conception of Jerome Robbins, book by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. Susan Dolacky is producer/music director, Greg Morales is director.
The curtain rises on “West Side Story” at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28 in the Shoreline Community College Campus Theater, located at 16101 Greenwood Ave. N.
