EVERETT — For an athlete’s first track meet of the year, being in shape and working away at the offseason rust is often as much of an issue as the opposing competition.
“First meet of the year (everyone is) just trying to get the cobwebs off,” Cascade coach Chris Crockett said.
Isaac Teichgrab was in midseason form, though, in Thursday’s Wesco North meet at Everett Memorial Stadium, taking first in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and finishing second in the javelin with a throw of 147 feet.
