Game of the Week Poll | Week 4

We’ve got a nice slate of games this week, including a rematch of one of the best games from a year ago.

Last season, Lakewood finally toppled the mighty Archbishop Murphy in a classic. This year the Cougars try to do the same thing on Friday.

Here’s a look at the other choices:

Mariner vs. Cascade at Everett Memorial Stadium: The Marauders are coming off of a nice win over Monroe and look to beat Cascade, which is 2-1 after going winless the past two seasons.

Archbishop Murphy at Lakewood: The Cougars are off to a 3-0 start and have beaten two quality opponents in Washington and Blaine. Archbishop Murphy is coming off of a loss to King’s and is trying to avoid losing two straight conference games in school history.

Edmonds-Woodway vs. Jackson at Everett Memorial Stadium: Both teams are 2-1 after losing their first games last week — E-W to Meadowdale and Jackson to Glacier Peak. The Warriors are hoping to get running back Desmond Young back after he sat out last week’s game with a hamstring issue.

Glacier Peak vs. Mountlake Terrace at Edmonds Stadium: The Hawks got their season back on track with a confidence-building 42-0 win over Lynnwood. Glacier Peak is 3-0 and rolling behind an offense averaging more than 43 points per game.

Monroe at Lake Stevens: After losing its opener to GP, the Vikings have two impressive wins over Marysville Pilchuck and Oak Harbor. Monroe, meanwhile, lost to Jackson and Mariner but has a nice nonleague win over Juanita in Week 2. This game will go a long way in deciding who wins the Wesco North 4A.

Voting ends on Thursday at 6 p.m.
