Tools for caregivers
The Snohomish County Family Caregiver Support Program plans a free, six-week course, “Powerful Tools for Caregivers,” to run 1:30-4 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 16-Feb. 20. Classes will be held at the Stillaguamish Senior Center, 18308 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington.
Unpaid family caregivers will be taught skills needed to better care for themselves while caring for others. Caregivers will learn self-care tools to reduce personal stress, communicate their needs effectively in challenging situations, deal with difficult emotions and make tough caregiving decisions.
Registration is required; call Debbie Cook at 360-653-4551 ext. 236 or email caregiver@stillycenter.com.
