OLYMPIA — A naturopathic physician from King County has agreed to give up his license following a complaint that he authorized about 100 patients to use marijuana during Hempfest two years ago.
The state Department of Health said Jeffery T. Moore provided substandard care because he spent less than 15 minutes per patient, failed to require them to provide medical records, didn’t give them individualized treatment plans and didn’t adequately document the exams.
Hempfest, an annual pro-pot rally and celebration, draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to Seattle’s waterfront every summer. The festival no longer allows physicians to write medical marijuana authorizations there.
The Health Department said Moore has surrendered his license and agreed never to practice medicine in Washington again.
