Next time, take the ferry: The airport in Ketchikan, Alaska, has been named by airfarewatchdog.com as one of the world's 10 scariest places to land an airliner (Page A4). It was cited for a short runway that's bracketed by ocean and mountains.

Gee, it really must be a scary airport. The Buzz hears that Ketchikan-bound air travelers are not only subjected to security scans, but also administered last rites.

War of the gasbags: A PBS documentary Tuesday recalls Orson Welles' radio play of "The War of the Worlds," which freaked out America 75 years ago this week (Page B4).

The Buzz would like to pitch an updated version of Welles' production in which TV pundits argue over whether the Martian invasion means the GOP won today's news cycle, and what it may mean for the 2016 presidential race.

Near the T-shirt factories? Also on TV this week is the finale of "Masterchef Junior," a cooking competition show for kids ages 8 to 13 (Page B4).

The winner will get $100,000, a trophy and a job as head chef at Gordon Ramsay's new restaurant in Bangladesh.
