When: Today, 10 a.m.

South Kitsap, which finished sixth in the final state poll, is led by Mac McCarty, the Narrows League 4A Most Valuable Player. South Kitsap blanked Tahoma in the district opener and beat Battle Ground to advance to the championship game. The Wolves lost to No. 1-ranked Puyallup 10-0 in the district title game. The winner gets the winner of the Kentridge-Eastlake game at 4 p.m.

Where: Heidelberg Park, Tacoma

Other regional teams: Gonzaga Prep, Battle Ground

Scouting report: The Warriors slid into the regionals with a late comeback win over Redmond and got the No. 1 team in the state for their efforts. Puyallup is 24-0 and has hardly a chink in its armor. The Vikings won their three district games by a combined score of 28-4 to win the West Central/Southwest District championship. Puyallup, which was nationally ranked at one point in the season, is led by mashers first baseman Quinn Rawson (.406 batting average, seven home runs), outfielder Darian Clemens (.443, 10 doubles) and third baseman Adam Stump (.474), and left-handed starter Luke Heimlich (0.57 earned run average, 9-0 record). The winner plays the winner of the Gonzaga Prep-Battle Ground game at 4 p.m.

Cascade vs. Gig Harbor

When: Today, 1 p.m.

Where: Everett Memorial Stadium

Other regional teams: Todd Beamer, Woodinville

Scouting report: Gig Harbor, which finished second in the Narrows 4A, gave No. 1-ranked Puyallup all it wanted and more in the district opener, battling the Vikings in a 3-2 loss. Gig Harbor is led by all-league returners third baseman Sterling Brown, catcher Mark Sluys and pitcher/outfielder Conor Scanlan.
