I had an epiphany a while ago. Using the logic that got Obama elected means we have no other choice than to elect Marco Rubio. Think about it. We chose Obama because he’s black. We chose Obama as a one-term senator (who never voted except present or absent most of the time.) We chose him because he is a great orator. He chose him because we thought he was hip. We chose him because he was young. We chose him because he was handsome. We chose him because he has a wonderful family and beautiful hip wife (don’t forget her fabulous arms.) We knew nor cared to know nothing of his past or if we did we ignored it.
We should choose Marco Rubio without question on these same criteria. We should choose him because he’s Cuban-American. We should choose him because he’s a one-term senator (who does vote and we do know where he stands.) He is a great orator. He’s hip. He’s young. He’s very handsome. He has a wonderful family. His wife is beautiful (not sure about her arms.) Although we do know a lot more about his background and voting record we shouldn’t hold that against him. Yes, that’s exactly how we’ve devolved to elect our leaders. It’s a beauty contest basically.
Most people are ignorant about politics, don’t care, and vote for the aforementioned reasons. Black, young, cool, great looking family, yep he’s the one. So please all you liberals out there use the same logic you did the last two times because there is no way you elected Obama because of what he stands for or had or has done. You have to vote for Marco Rubio. I am, but for different reasons, I actually believe he’s the best man for the job.
