Tourism money
The city of Snohomish is accepting applications from nonprofit agencies for projects that help develop and promote tourism in the city. The money, about $10,000, comes from taxes on room rentals.
It will be available after Jan. 1, 2016, to reimburse groups for projects that will be completed by the end of that year.
Those applying for the money are expected to present their projects at the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee meeting set for 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at City Hall.
Applications are due to City Hall by 4 p.m. Sept. 18. Instructions and the application can be found on the city’s website at snohomishwa.gov/445/HotelMotel-Grant-Application.
