YAKIMA — Yakima police have arrested one person in connection with shooting at a motel that left two people wounded. A second suspect remains at large.
Police spokesman Mike Bastinelli says a 32-year-old man was standing in the doorway of a room at the Sunshine Motel when he was shot in the leg Wednesday afternoon.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports that one suspect surrendered to officers at a nearby an apartment complex about an hour after the shooting. That suspect was also wounded.
Both of the injured people were being treated at a local hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Bastinelli says police are investigating the events surrounding the shooting.
