UPDATE: The girl was found safe Friday evening.
EVERETT — Police on Friday were investigating the disappearance of an Everett High School student.
Sophomore Nanci Loza-Liera, 16, did not return home Thursday and did not attend classes Friday.
“This behavior is out of the ordinary and Nanci’s parents are very concerned about her safety and welfare as it is unlike her to be out of contact with the family,” Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. “Nanci is a good student with no history of running away.”
Loza-Liera was last seen at the high school about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. She was wearing a black shirt, black pants, a gray sweater and a light-brown coat. She is described as having black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Everett Police Department at 425-257-8450 or Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound at 1-800-222-TIPS.
