EVERETT — Wednesday’s tally of incoming ballots in the April 26 special election didn’t change the overall results of school district measures.
Everett Public Schools’ Proposition 1, a $89.6 million levy, was passing 64.9 percent to 35.1 percent. Proposition 2, a $149.7 million general obligation bond, also increased its margin of victory to 62.1 percent in favor versus 37.9 percent against.
The Marysville School District’s Proposition 1, a $230 million general obligation bond, was failing by a significant margin, although it gained a little support in the latest update. The count was split 50-50, but the bond needs a 60 percent super majority to pass.
As of Wednesday, 35,701 ballots had been returned, for a turnout rate of 30.2 percent. The next round of results was scheduled to be released at 5 p.m. Thursday.
