From 17 down to 1: Businessman and reality TV star Donald Trump became the presumptive Republican Party nominee for president Wednesday, as Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Trump’s final opponent, ended his low-key, long-shot campaign.
In a statement, Kasich said he could see no clear path to the nomination as the No. 8 candidate in a two-person race.
Just play that “Proud To Be An American” song and call it good: The Rolling Stones are the latest musicians to tell Donald Trump to stop playing their music at his campaign rallies.
The good news for Trump is that even though “Start Me Up,” “Brown Sugar” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” are now off limits to him, “The Horst Wessel Song” is in the public domain.
Clean money: The European Central Bank on Wednesday voted to discontinue the 500-euro bill amid criticism that the banknote had become a handy aid to money laundering.
It also is a convenient and easy way to donate to the Hillary Victory Fund super PAC.
