Touch a truck: The second Port Susan Touch-A-Truck and Spring Fest is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 271st Street NW in downtown Stanwood and in the parking lot of Farmer’s Supply. The event includes more than 50 vehicles for kids and families to explore, including excavators, semi-trucks, quads, motorcycles and a double-decker bus. A Children and Youth Mental Wellness Fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Evergreen Middle School, 7621 Beverly Lane, in Everett. Topics include suicide prevention, parenting young children, building a better relationship with your teen, infant and toddler mental health, tips for helping parents with stress, and help for gay, lesbian and transgender teens. Snohomish County Fire District 1 is offering emergency preparedness presentations to churches and other faith-based organizations. The idea is to increase the chance of peoople working together before and after a disaster, organizers said. The first “ReadySunday” event was held May 1 at Westgate Chapel in Edmonds.
