SNOHOMISH — A man was hospitalized with burns after a truck he was working on caught fire Sunday afternoon, Snohomish County Fire District 4 reported.
Crews were dispatched to 157th Avenue SE near Roosevelt Road between Snohomish and Monroe after a neighbor reported hearing explosions and seeing flames, Battalion Chief Jason Hodkinson said. The fire spread from the truck to a car, a camper trailer and the grass.
A medic unit from Monroe drove the man, whose age wasn’t available, to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries, Hodkinson said. Firefighters brought the flames under control within about 15 minutes.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation later that afternoon.
