The Flying Pig, a well-known restaurant in Everett’s downtown, is closed. I walked by this afternoon and noticed a sign taped to the door, “Sorry we are closed. We will re-open in February.” There was also a letter from the state Dept. of Revenue letting people know that the agency had issued a tax warrant for unpaid taxes in the amount of $16,881.43. That doesn’t sound good.
There are signs a new restaurant may take its place. Glenn and Danae McLoughlin of Lake Stevens and Colin Latapie of Granite Falls have applied for a liquor license at that address under the name “McLoughlin Steak & Chop.”
If you know more about what’s happened, chime in below. And new business owners, we’d love to tell people what you plan for that spot.
