Witnesses sought in January crash on I-5

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — Washington State Patrol detectives are looking for potential witnesses in a Jan. 25 crash on I-5 in Mountlake Terrace.

A motorcycle was rear-ended by a Honda Prelude about 4:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes. The motorcylist was badly hurt. The Honda driver, 22, was arrested for investigation of vehicular assault and driving under the influence.

Investigators believe the motorcycle had slowed for traffic congestion. The car was going too fast and swerved into the motorcycle.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and might have seen or heard the crash, or events leading up to it, is asked to call 360-654-1144.
