Kaleo Anderson | King’s girls basketball
The 6-foot junior point guard was named the Class 1A tournament MVP after averaging 19.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 blocked shots during three games at the Yakima Valley SunDome, where the Knights finished second. Anderson won The Herald’s Athlete of the Week for Feb. March 2-8 by claiming 231 (62.77%) of the 368 votes.

Rose Gallagher | Shorewood softball
The first baseman recorded two of her three hits in the sixth inning and drove in the final two runs of the game with a go-ahead, two-run single as the Stormrays erased a 7-0 deficit to win 8-7 over Lake Washington on March 14. On March 12, Gallagher went 2-fo-4 with a solo homer, a walk, and two runs scored in a win over Holy Names.
Mia Hoekendorf | Everett softball
The sophomore pitcher-shortstop struck out eight batters and went 3-for-5, with three RBI, including a two-run triple in the seventh to plate the final two runs to put away a 10-6 win over Oak Harbor on March 14.
Alex Plumis | Edmonds-Woodway boys soccer
The senior captain scored twice in a 3-1 win over Jackson on March 13.
Yegor Tarasov | Kamiak boys soccer
The senior recorded a hat trick to provide all the Knights’ scoring in a 3-1 win over Shorecrest on March 12.
AJ Welch | Monroe baseball
The junior pitched a one-hitter while striking out eight batters in a 5-inning, 10-0 win over Kamiak on March 14. Welch also went 2-for-2 with an RBI, a walk and a run from the plate.
