Boeing will deliver Air India’s first 787 by the end of the month, India’s minister of civil aviation said Wednesday.
That’s contrary to reports from the Indian press yesterday.
Air India’s 787 was sitting pretty in the paint hangar in Everett around 6 p.m. Tuesday. The airline also will receive the Dreamliner assembled in South Carolina. That jet will make its maiden flight from North Charleston this morning.
On Wednesday, India’s minister of civil aviation cancelled his plans to be in Washington state for the first delivery next week, saying he needed to stay in India to resolve the pilots’ strike at Air India.
