Emerald City Harley to host Housing Hope fundraiser

Emerald City Harley-Davidson in Lynnwood has partnered with Housing Hope for a new fundraising event called Harleys &Hops. The event is from 7 to 10 p.m. Feb. 27 at the dealership. It will feature up to 10 local breweries. Tickets are $25 each which includes 10 samples of beer. For more information about the event and to purchase tickets, click here.

Presentation planned in Arlington on obesity

Dr. Natalia Usoltseva, an internal medicine physician in Arlington, will provide a free presentation about obesity and its treatment strategies. The presentation is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 at Cascade Skagit Health Alliance, 3823 172nd St. NE, Arlington. Registration is required. Snohomish Sports Institute holds weight-loss challenge

On Jan. 19, Snohomish Sports Institute kicked off its first Biggest Loser-Greatest Gainer competition. Participants signed up for a six-week challenge to either lose pounds or increase their fitness activity depending on what they were interested in improving. Mt. Baker geothermal study available for review

The environmental assessment for the proposed Mt. Baker Ranger District Geothermal Consent to Lease project is completed and available for review and comment. A copy of the assessment is available on the Forest’s website here under the project title, Mt. Baker Ranger District Geothermal Consent to Lease Project. A 30-day public comment period began Feb. 4.
