Fluke shows off new heat imager

Everett-based Fluke Corp. has unveiled the first thermal imager that carries its brand name for use by maintenance technicians and others who regularly inspect equipment. The Fluke Ti30 imager originally was designed by Raytek, a Fluke subsidiary that specializes in infrared thermometers and related devices. The unit, costing about $10,000, already is shipping.

NetMusic upgrades its stock listing

NetMusic Entertainment of Edmonds is preparing to move the company’s stock listing from the over-the-counter Pink Sheets to either the American Stock Exchange or Nasdaq. Glen Starchman, chief executive officer of the digital media provider, said he is talking with market advisers and completing the necessary regulatory documents. Moving to a major exchange would allow the company to pursue new business alliances as well as expansion capital, he said.

Eden Bioscience thinking smaller

Eden Bioscience Corp. plans to promote its Messenger plant enhancer at the Northwest Flower &Garden Show in Seattle and at the annual garden show in Portland, Ore., this spring. The Bothell biotechnology company’s product has been available for use by hobby gardeners for a couple of years, but has not racked up impressive sales during that time.

T-bill rates rise to 3-year high

Three-month Treasury bills sold Monday at auction for a discount rate of 2.475 percent. Six-month bills were auctioned at a discount rate of 2.71 percent. The three-month rate was the highest since Sept. 17, 2001. The six-month rate was the highest since Sept. 10, 2001. The rates understate the actual return to investors – 2.525 percent for three-month bills with a $10,000 bill selling for $9,937.44 and 2.786 percent for a six-month bill selling for $9,862.99. In a separate report, the Federal Reserve said Monday that the average yield for one-year Treasury bills, a popular index for changing adjustable rate mortgages, rose to 2.89 percent last week from 2.87 percent the previous week.
