A power outage at Boeing’s Auburn facility forced the company to cancel operations there until Tuesday.
In a statement on its Web site, Boeing said the Auburn location experienced multiple transformer failures at approximately 4 a.m. Saturday., resulting in a power outage. The company evacuated the site as a precaution.
Boeing cancelled third shift Sunday as well as first and second shifts on Monday. The company has also cancelled third shift, which runs until the early hours of Tuesday.
Some office workers should be able to work from home, Boeing said. And employees who normally work in the Auburn Skin & Spar facility will instead report to the Boeing’s Frederickson site
