SNOHOMISH – The developer of Snohomish’s largest shopping center to date and city officials are offering residents a sneak peek at what the new development will look like.
Snohomish Station, with Fred Meyer and Home Depot as anchor stores, will include 450,000 square feet of retail space along Bickford Avenue.
Some land-clearing activity’s taken place on the former gravel quarry site, though final approvals for the project’s construction are still pending.
The developer, Wakefield Properties in Bellevue, has provided the city with conceptual drawings of the development, which the city posted online recently. The renderings mostly show design details of the small shop spaces planned around the two large anchors.
Assuming construction goes as planned, Fred Meyer and other businesses hope to be open by December. Dan Eernissee, a project manager of Wakefield, didn’t return a call for comment.
