The Everett Animal Shelter hosts thousands of stray and unwanted animals every year. Some are adopted right away, but some sit in the shelter for weeks at a time, waiting for a home. The shelter has dogs and cats, as well as some rabbits and birds, all looking for a loving home.
All pets are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and given a identifying microchip before they are adopted. Take a look at some of the dogs, cats and other animals that are available for adoption at the shelter now.
If you’re interested in adopting an animal, the shelter is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 425-257-6000.
Bailey is a VERY active fun dog! She will need a meet and greet with any resident canines and may chase cats for fun. Bailey is not suited for a apartment living and needs a secure fenced yard. Any children in the home should be over 8 years old and be able to respect Baileys space. Poor Bailey has been bounced around from home to home, so we are hoping she her next home is her forever home. She will need some additional training for her to become a great dog!! Bonnie is a nice shepherd looking for a new home. She will need a meet and greet with any resident canines and a feline free home. Any children in the home need to be over the age of 12 years and used to large breed dogs. Bonnie enjoys going for walks and would love a large fenced yard. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)

She will need a meet and greet with any resident canines. Any children in the home must be over 12 years old. Bubbles jumps up on people and can easily knock them over. She is a sweet girl with lots of energy who just needs someone to work with her on obedience training. (Curt Story/Everett Animal Shelter)
Kelvin is a young active senior who would enjoy an active household. Long walks? Hiking? Kelvin would do best with children 10 years and older. Kelvin enjoys interacting with other polite female dogs but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. He loves to play with toys and loves to carry one around when walking.
