Beer, wine, spirits: Where to grab a drink in Snohomish County

May the Fourth Be With You at At Large: Everett’s At Large Brewing is hosting a celebration of dark beers, including three variants of its 5AM imperial stout and two of its Late Night Oatmeal Stout, from noon to 10 p.m. May 4 at the brewery, 2730 W. Marine View Drive, Everett.

Cuarto de Mayo Pub Crawl: Everett’s Lazy Boy Brewing, 715 100th St. SE, Middleton Brewing, 607 SE Everett Mall Way, Suite 27-A, and Crucible Brewing, 909 SE Everett Mall Way, is hosting a pub crawl between the three breweries for cervezas, food trucks and more. Visit all three and be entered to win a prize.

Cinco de Waylon: Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and the fifth birthday of The Hop and Hound’s bloodhound Waylon from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. May 5 at the taproom, 18116 101st Ave. NE, Bothell. There will be Mexican-themed beers and The Hop and Hound will donate $1 for every pint to Homeward Pet in Woodinville.

Whitewall Brewing tasting: Everett’s Toggle’s Bottleshop is hosting Marysville’s Whitewall Brewing for a tasting at 5 p.m. May 8 at the bottleshop, 1420 Hewitt Ave., Everett.

Seattle Beer Week: A celebration of all things beer in the Emerald City, Seattle Beer Week is May 9-19 at locations throughout the Puget Sound region. Bothell’s The Hop and Hound, 18116 101st Ave. NE, is hosting three events: Hops and Crocks, noon to 4 p.m. May 11; Beer, Bingo and Barrels, a dog charity event, 5 to 8 p.m., May 15; Donuts, Beer and Bothell, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., May 19.

Goatfest festival at Varietal Beer: Goatfest is an invitational beer festival from noon to 10 p.m. May 11 at Varietal Beer Co., 416 E. Edison Ave., Sunnyside. Five breweries, including Arlington’s Skookum Brewery, have been invited to brew a unique version of the maibock style for the festival. Tickets are $25 and include a festival glass and five tokens.

Firestone Walker at Special Brews: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting California’s Firestone Walker for a tasting at 5 p.m. May 15 at the taproom, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.

Middleton Sell Out Series: Everett’s Toggle’s Bottleshop is hosting Everett’s Middleton Brewing for the next release in its Sell Out Series at 5 p.m. May 15 at the bottleshop, 1420 Hewitt Ave., Everett. Middleton will release a double IPA brewed with cherry Kool-Aid.

UW Bothell Block Party and Brewfest: The University of Washington Bothell Block Party and Brewfest will feature a number of local breweries, live music and food from 3 to 8 p.m. May 18 in downtown Bothell. Tickets include eight tasting tickets and a commemorative glass. Bothell’s The Hop and Hound, 18116 101st Ave. NE, is hosting the after-party.

New Belgium at Special Brews: Lynnwood’s Special Brews is hosting Colorado’s New Belgium Brewing for a tasting at 5 p.m. May 22 at the taproom, 14608 Highway 99, Suite 307, Lynnwood.

Center Public House 1st anniversary: Celebrate Snohomish’s Center Public House’s first anniversary with a weekend party from May 31 to June 2 at the taproom, 115 Ave. A, Snohomish.

At Large’s 3rd anniversary: Everett’s At Large Brewing is hosting its third anniversary from noon to 10 p.m. June 1 at the brewery, 2730 W. Marine View Drive, Everett. There will be 25 taps of beer, including limited barrel-project releases, live music, food trucks and cigars from San Juan Cigar Co.
