Spring break week can be camp time for kids.
•For the budding scientist, there’s Discovery Days Spring Break Day Camp that runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 4 to 8 at the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main St., Edmonds. Camp is open to 6- to 12-year-olds.
Register with Edmonds Parks & Recreation at 425-771-0230 or www.reczone.org. Cost is $30 a day or $128 for the whole week.
Kids meet at the Anderson Center each camp day and walk to Edmonds parks and beaches for games, crafts and outdoor exploration. Bring a sack lunch and dress for the weather.
Instructors are Discovery Programs ranger-naturalists.
•For the Picasso in the house, John & Jenna Delzell’s Spring Break Art Camp is being offered from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 4 to 7.
The camp is held at the Delzells’ home studio, 2177 Highland Drive, Camano Island. Registration is accepted through Sunday. It’s $160 per child for ages 7 to 17.
Only have time for two days of camp instead of four? The Delzells will try to be flexible and work with your schedule. For more information, call 360-387-2251 or go to www.camanoartcamp.com or email <a href="mailto:john@johndelzellart.com[/URL].
The art camp offers projects such as acrylic painting, sculptures made from driftwood, wire or clay, and drawing. When not working on art, the campers can enjoy going to the beach.
