Drum Corps International’s “The Countdown” will show at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in more than 300 movie theaters nationwide, including Everett Stadium.
“The Countdown” is a one-day in-theater event showcasing six of the top drum corps performances of recent competitive seasons. “The Countdown” will feature performances from among the best World Championship finalists of the past three years, including:
2007 Blue Devils (Concord, Calif.)
2006 Phantom Regiment (Rockford, Ill.)
2007 Bluecoats (Canton, Ohio)
2006 The Cavaliers (Rosemont, Ill.)
2005 The Cadets (Allentown, Pa.)
2007 Carolina Crown (Fort Mill, S.C.)
Fans in the theaters will act as judges and decide the champion in this interactive voting opportunity. Using score sheets downloaded from the DCI Web site (www.DCI.org), fans will keep track of and rate the performances. Following the event, audience members will return to DCI.org to submit their scores.
Tickets are available at theater box offices and online at www.FathomEvents.com. Other Western Washington theaters offering the event include Pacific Place in Seattle, Century Theaters in Federal Way and Capital Mall in Olympia.
