This is a repeat of a recipe published earlier, with clarification of the procedure.
This has always been my favorite Christmas cookie recipe since childhood. I love the softness and the not-too-sweet taste of this cookie.
I have fond memories of my mom turning our home into “the little cookie factory” in December, as she made and baked dozens and dozens of different kinds of wonderful Christmas cookies.

COCONUT SNOW BALLS
1cup butter
2cups sugar
Beat 5 to 10 minutes, add
2eggs
1teaspoon vanilla
Beat well, add
1cup flour
1teaspoon baking soda
2teaspoon baking powder
1/2teaspoon salt
Mix, add
4cups flour, alternating with
3/4cup sour cream
Mix, add
1cup coconut
Mix well. Chill overnight.
Roll balls in coconut, bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
