Community dance clubs and classes

Arlington Community Dance: 6:30 p.m. third Saturday of the month, Sisco Heights Community Center, 13527 99th Ave. NE, Arlington. No partner or lessons needed. All ages welcome. Live band and caller will teach all dances. Contra, lines, circle and square dance. Cost is $5 per person, $15 family. For more information, call 425-232-7237.

Ballroom dancing: 1 to 3 p.m. every fourth Saturday through October, Carl Gipson Senior Center of Everett, 3025 Lombard Ave., Everett. Must be 50 or better to dance to the music of Lauren Petrie. Admission is $4; call 425-257- 8780.

Darrington Community Dances: 5:30 p.m. potluck, 7 p.m. instruction, 7:30 dancing on the second Saturday through April; Mansford Grange, 1265 Railroad Ave.; 206-402-8646. April 9: Cobbler with caller Amy Carroll.

Dudes and Dolls Square Dance Club: Square and round dances; Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave. W., Lynnwood. Dances are 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. second, fourth and fifth Fridays. More at www.dudesanddolls.org or by calling 206-423-6193.

Hayloft Dance Hall &Event Center: 15320 35th Ave. W, Lynnwood. Whirlybirds, 7:30 p.m. March 19. More at www.hayloftdance.com.

Northshore Senior Center: 10201 East Riverside Dr., Bothell; 425-487-2441; www.northshoreseniorcenter.org. Line dancing is 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Thursdays; $6 for members/$12 for nonmembers. Ballroom dance lessons are 3 to 4 p.m. first and third Wednesdays and 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. second and fourth Wednesdays. No partner necessary. Per class $10 member/$20 nonmember. World Dance Party 6 to 9 p.m. April 8. Admission is one potluck dish. All ages welcome. Dances will be taught in 15-minute sessions and include Bollywood, West African, Mexican, contra/swing, line dance, nonpartner waltz and more. No tickets or reservations needed.

Skandia Folkdance Society: First Friday dance, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. lesson, 8:30 to 11 p.m. dance, first and third Fridays, Cedar Valley Grange, 20526 52nd Ave. W., Lynnwood; $10 nonmembers, $7 members; www.skandia-folkdance.org or 206-784-7470.

Sky Valley Whirlwind Square Dance Club: Round dance workshops, 7:30 p.m., plus mainstream dances, 8 to 10:30 p.m. third Fridays, $6. Tri Way Grange, 35th and Seattle Hill Road, Mill Creek; 425-377-0756.

Stanwood Area Historical Society: “Let’s Go To The Hop!” with dancing, music, games and nostalgic fun from the 1950s and 1960s, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. March 19, Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center, 27130 102nd Ave. NW, Stanwood. Tickets are $20 per person or $35, couple. For more information, call the Stanwood Chamber at 360-629-0562.
