Eat, drink with Gusto! in Everett

It’s like having your choice of some of the best wines and some of the best food from throughout the region all under one roof.

Gusto!, which features some 60 wineries and 20 restaurants in the region, is scheduled for 6-10 tonight at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Everett Events Center.

Some of the wineries represented are Barnard Griffin in Richland, Cana Winery in Wenatchee, Canoe Ridge in Walla Walla, Hoodsport Winery in Hoodsport, Silver Lake in Woodinville and Whidbey Island Vineyards in Langley. The representative restaurants include Lombardi’s, John’s Grill in Mukilteo, Lippencott Delivers out of Woodinville and Sockeye’s Restaurant and Bar.

And this year, Gusto! will include samples from Northwest microbreweries for the first time. On tap are microbrews from Ellersick Brewing Co. in Lynnwood, Diamond Knot Brewing Co. in Mukilteo, Lazy Boy Brewing in Everett and Skagit River Brewery in Mount Vernon.

Guests also will enjoy live music, cooking demonstrations from local chefs and a silent auction featuring many art and wine items.

Proceeds from “Gusto!” benefit the EvCC Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides financial support for student scholarships and Everett Community College programs.
