Find an eclectic mix of music at Timber! in Carnation

The Tolt-MacDonald Park in Carnation is a wonderful place for a music festival. Head south July 15 and 16 from Monroe and you’ll be there in no time.

The Timber! Outdoor Music Festival includes headliners Blood Squad and Deep Sea Diver. The full lineup is at www.timbermusicfest.com, but here are some of our suggestions:

On Friday, see EMP Sound Off winner Paris Alexa at 2 p.m. and Everett’s own The Moondoggies at 8 p.m. on the main stage. See The Maldives at 10 p.m. and Jason Webley at 11 p.m. at the camp fire stage. Also, The Moondoggies and The Maldives meet up for a Creedence Clearwater Tribute at 9 p.m. on the main stage.

On Saturday, catch Sundries at 3 p.m., Telekinesis at 7 p.m. and Langhorne Slim &the Law at 8:30 p.m. on the main stage, followed by Jesse Sykes &the Sweet Hereafer at 10:30 around the campfire.

On Friday at Camp Timber for Kids, see The Not-Its and on Saturday take the little ones to see Eli Rosenblatt. Both performances begin at 10:30 a.m.

A rundown on all the musicians is available at www.timbermusicfest.com.

And when you aren’t listening to the music, talk a walk across the river bridge, hike or bike the trails in the park or just relax. Look at the website for other suggestions.

Carnation has some sweet little antique stores and restaurants, too.

Festival single day tickets are $40 for Friday and $40 for Saturday. Children admitted free. Camping is available. A parking fee is charged. Bring cash. No dogs.
