• Al Fresco Dining: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 12, $45. Karen Binkhorst, personal chef and culinary instructor whips up a summer menu

for an outdoors dining experience, including pan-roasted cauliflower with almonds and golden raisins; stuffed eggplant with herbed goat cheese and lime-honey drizzle; and chicken and prosciutto rolls with tomato compote.

• Exceptional beers and bodacious burgers: July 13, at WineStyles Boutique in Bothell, with owner Lane Scott, $48. Grilled burgers with attitude, paired local and international brews from the lightest wheat to the darkest porter. beef and bacon barbecue ranch burger; chicken burger with garlic rosemary mayo; smoky double salmon burger; and Asian turkey burger with sesame slaw. • Northwest berries: 7 to 9 p.m. July 7, $46.50. A berry good menu, including Champagne strwberry bisque, grilled salmon with warm raspberry sauce, salad of butter lettuce with merlot-raspberry dressing and strawberry shortcake.

• Walking the farmers market: July 7. Check out what looks good at the Snohomish Farmers Market, bring it back to the kitchen and prepare it for a meal. Ingredients may include fresh meat, poultry, dairy, eggs, berries, vegetables and legumes. Explore what’s seasonal, how to check for freshness and learn how to shop on your own. (This class is offered several time during the summer, with changing menus.)
