Kruckeberg Botanic Garden plant sale: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 8, 9 and 10, at the public garden, 20312 15th Ave. NW, Shoreline. Rare and exotic Pacific Northwest native plant species, many of which are only available during this weekend. Parking is limited at the garden site so there’s a free shuttle from Richmond Beach on May 8 and 9 from Congregational Church, 1512 NW 195th St., and on May 10 at Syre Elementary School, 19545 12th Ave. NW. Shuttle service May 9 will also include stops to the Strawberry Festival and Classic Car Show in the Richmond Beach neighborhood. For more, go to www.kruckeberg.org.

Edmonds Community College plant sale: horticulture department sale, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 8 and May 9, EvCC greenhouse, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood.

Rowan Tree Church plant sale: Perennial Plant Sale (and free garden tour) 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 9 and 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. May 10, 9724 132nd Ave NE, Kirkland. Perennials, flowering and medicinal herbs, potted from botanical garden into organic potting soil. All proceeds beyond cost of new pots and new organic potting soil go toward insurance and property tax for the gardens.

Lakewood High School plant sale: noon to 5 p.m. May 7 and 8; 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 9, 17023 11th Ave. NE, Arlington. Wooden hanging baskets of petunias and fuchsias, flowers and many vegetable starts.

Snohomish High School FFA plant sale: May 8, 9, 22 and 23, 1316 5th St., Snohomish. Hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.

Birds &Butterflies: 10 a.m. May 13, Everett Garden Club, Memorial Community Church, 710 Pecks Dr. Speaker will be Carol Jacques on “Attracting Butterflies to your Garden.”

Tours

Evergreen Arboretum Gardens of Merit Tour: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20. Gardens from small cottage gardens to large formal gardens. Get ideas for landscaping small city yards and see how two garden owners have successfully dealt with steeply sloped properties. Musicians featured in several gardens. Tickets $12. Advance tickets available at Sunnyside Nursery, J. Matheson Gifts, Pacific Stone Company, Stadium Flowers and at Sorticulture or buy ticket the day of the tour at the Evergreen Arboretum. Event supports the Evergreen Arboretum &Gardens.

Whidbey Island Garden Tour: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20. Tour five gardens on Whidbey Island. Tickets are $20 for adults in advance or $25 day of tour. Tickets for ages 2 to 12 are $10 in advance or $15 day of tour. For more information, go to wigt.org.

Camano Island Backyard Wildlife Habitat Garden Tour: Features landscaping for wildlife, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27. Pick up maps at the Camano Multipurpose Center (the blue building), 141 NE Camano Dr., the day of the event. For more, go to www.camanowildlifehabitat.org.

Mill Creek Garden Tour: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 27. Tour six gardens. Tickets are $15. Benefits Mill Creek Garden Club’s “Giving through Gardening” school grants, civic projects and club operations. Mukilteo Quilt &Garden Tour: July 18 and 19. Seven gardens on tour by Mukilteo Way Garden Club and the Mukilteo Lighthouse Quilters.
