Kids stay at the Woodland Park Zoo all by themselves while their elders enjoy “Parents’ Night Out” wherever they’d like to go on six nights in the coming year.
Of course the children, ages 4 to 11, aren’t totally alone: Zoo humans supervise a pizza dinner, puppet shows, movies and playtime in the indoor Zoomazium. The kids may even find out what the animals do when no one’s around.
So make your dinner or movie plans, parents: The first of these evening events is from 5:30 to 10 p.m. Feb. 6. It costs $25 for one child and $20 for each sibling. Nights out are scheduled for March 6, July 17, Aug. 27, Sept. 24 and Nov. 5.
Call 206-548-2500 or go to www.zoo.org/education/childrens-programs to register for this cool deal. The zoo is at 601 N. 59th St., Seattle.
