Weekly sessions, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, start June

27; $350 per child. This water-sports day camp includes instruction in kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, wake boarding, innertubing, for any level of experience and ability.

Summer reading program registration starts on June 24 at both branches. School-aged children and teens earn prizes for filling out their reading logs, then enter a drawing to win a bike or scooter if they reach their reading goals. Reading logs will be available until July 31.

Preschool play group, 10:30 a.m. to noon Fridays, Evergreen branch only.

Kids’ night out, 6 to 9:30 p.m. June 25; $30 per kid, $15 for each additional sibling for members, and $35 and $20 for nonmembers. Kids, age 4 to 12, enjoy a Hawaiian night with pizza, punch and games. Space is limited. Call early.

Kids’ game day, 2 p.m. June 22, Sultan branch, 319 Main St., Suite 100; 360-793-1695. Ages 6 to 12 can enjoy an hour of old-fashioned board games. Use the library’s games or bring your own. Refreshments will be served.

Matt Baker comedy and stunt show summer reading kickoff, 2 p.m. June 24, Monroe branch, 1070 Village Way; 360-794-7851. Ages 6 and older can get their summer reading off to a side-splitting start with comedian Matt Baker. Tickets are required. Pick up free tickets at the information desk.

Dance and drum with Ocheami, 7 p.m. June 24, Lynnwood branch,19200 44th Ave. W.; 425-778-2148. Explore the rich culture of West Africa through song, dance, drumming and story telling.
